§ 33.092. BOOKING FEE.

  • A.

    The police department shall charge an administrative booking fee on a person who posts bail or bond for an arrestee after being booked, to include photographing and/or fingerprinting, for any criminal of village ordinance offense, including, but not limited to, warrants.

    B.

    The fee provided for in this section shall be in the amount set forth in title 3, chapter 41, subsection 41.01(A) of the Village Code.

    C.

    In the event the arrestee is acquitted on the charges for which the bail or bond was posted, or the case is dismissed, the fee shall be refunded within thirty (30) days of the arrestee's written request to the police department for such refund. The chief of police shall develop a procedure for persons not convicted to request a refund of the fee which procedure shall be in writing and provided to all persons arrested.
